โWe loved the location as we wanted to explore the entire OBX region north and south. We extended our stay a couple more days. Jim was helpful in printing our beach pass for us and accommodated our needs. โ
โThe stay was pleasant and served its purpose for the price. The lady in charge, Iโm guessing the owner, was very accommodating. She made my family visit a nice one going the extra mile. โ
โThe room was nice and large, very comfortable and quiet. The area is very clean with attractive buildings and lots of trees and foliage. The Nest restaurant has great food options; everything we ate was delicious. All staff was very respectful and helpful. โ
โIn the 25 plus years I have been staying in OBX this place has had the most comfortable beds EVER! And I have been in motels, hotels, rental houses through companies as well as Vrbo and such. Walkable to the beach and restaurants were nice as well.โ
โOverall the property is nice and close to the beach but not on the beach. Just a short walk through Hurricane Moeโs parking lot.
The hotel is updated and very clean. The pictures of the pool are misleading. The pool is not very big.
The housekeeping crew was great!
Breakfast was good with hot and cold options.
Overall a great price for the hotel. Hard to stay in a hotel without a kitchen, but great for a shorter stay. โ
โWhat a gem of a place. The view from the waterside rooms is worth every penny! This place had that old school charm and hospitality you donโt get anywhere else these days. Bruce the bartender makes the stay memorable and makes you feel welcome. Book it for the views, stay for the stories, and enjoy the tiki bar and pool. I will be coming back next year. Such a memorable trip with this place. Bonus is the water sports are just outside the hotel and you get free access to the huge gym facility...
โThe cabin was a perfect place to go to sleep after staying out all day on the beach. Close to Fat Boys for ice cream and some of our favorite restaurants. Although advertised as โsoundproof wallsโ our experience was otherwise, could definitely hear our neighbors very clearly through the walls. No complaints, would stay there again with my wife on another long weekend on the Outer Banks!!โ
