"The Hotel was in very good location and the breakfast was excellent. The down side was the lack of storage in the room, only one draw. A huge tv took up most of the wall and we had a view of a building site opposite. The room was clean but housekeeping removed our personal face cloths that we never saw again despite assurances that they would be returned. This was annoying as the hotel did not provide these and it was obvious that they were our property. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"Lovely place to stay out of town and surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a bus about 50m away that goes to York. Great place to stay and explore the area, then come home to an excellent spa and gym. Only grizzle is that the pillows weren’t great and I think if you’re staying there you should get a spa towel without paying for it! Make sure to book any spa treatment or restaurant early as they book out. "
