“We have stayed here before and thought it was good.
This time we were in the Coach House instead of the older building. It tried to be characterful but wasn't. It was probably built in the 80s and what little work that had been done on it since was not done well. It was tired and shabby.
There were flies in the room, going into the bathroom and then sitting on the pillows!
There were also flies in the Fat Abbot restaurant and the food left a lot to be desired, not the highly rated bistro pub...

“The room and hotel worked for what it was offering! I enjoyed my stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful, but the door to the room I was staying in wasn’t working properly so I did run into some minor issues there. Other than that, it was very smooth sailing! Would recommend!”

“조식 무료인점이 너무 좋고
요크중심가 위치도 좋다
새로 문연곳이라 깨끗하고 좋은데
청소가 최악. 먼지가 겹겹히 쌓여있고
컵 얼룩은 기본.
디스펜서에 컨디셔너. 로션도 비워있는데
룸청소후에도 채워지지 않음.
그리고 너~~~무 추움
난방 기본설정온도가 너무 낮다.
그래도 나머지가 좋아서
더러운건 못본척 지냈다.

“We only stayed at Ashbourne House for one night and it was very nice. Lovely room with a Comfortable bed, great shower and towels. Plenty if tea and coffee, and if you ran out you could get more from a dish on the landing also a sweet treat if you needed it, which I thought was a nice touch.
It was a bit away from restaurants and the main shopping but public buses stopped just down the road and was easy to catch and came regularly if you didn’t have a car.
If you did have a car there seemed...

“Property lovely, high standard interior.
Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly.
Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off.
We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...
