"Great location near all the seafood restaurants, breweries, massage places and more! It’s a beautiful hotel and the only one on the strip covered in plants. Tran and her great friendly staff are always there to help and assist with any needs. Just cross over the road and you’re at the da nang beach, which we swam in every day. Breakfast is included and has a fantastic variety available. Double superior room was very spacious with a king bed and partial view of the beach in which you could definitely see. We ended up cutting our trip short in Hoi an to come back and spend our last two days at Chicland. I have been recommending this place to all of my friends. Thank you and will definitely be re booking Chicland again. See you soon x "

"Large hotel, a lot of guests, so our experience was not really personal. That said, the room exceeded our expectations; we reserved a city view, but had a partial city, partial sea/beach view. The bed was comfortable, bath and shower were very good, well appointed. The rooftop pool area was cramped, resulting in a chaotic atmosphere, and making it difficult to get a lounger, or any seating at all. The buffet breakfast was equally chaotic and raucous, but the choices were many and varied, and overall, a very good breakfast."

"Staff was super friendly but the policies in place really stopped them from being accommodating. I ordered grab food/used a laundry delivery service and they weren’t allowed to bring up the food & I had to ask several times for them to bring the laundry up. They also advertised free water bottles but didn’t mention that they’d charge you after 2. Vietnam is very hot and 2/3 other hotels I’ve been to have me unlimited water bottles Also there was very loud construction going on right outside my window all through the night and it really picked up from 4-6AM The spa however was AMAZING!!"

"Generally it is a nice hotel. Good value for a hotel right by My Khe beach. The location is excellent, right across the beach and close to restaurants, bars, etc. It must have been beautiful when first built but is getting a little dated. The breakfast is pretty good, including made to order eggs and Vietnamese noodle soup. The rooftop pool is nice but the clouded glass windows around the pool make it difficult to enjoy the view. Our room had a nice partial view of the ocean but the deposits on the window also took away from the view. I am still not sure why but there was some confusion about our reservation. In any case, they were good about reconfiguring our rooms as king beds rather than two twin beds as they were on arrival. Unfortunately, the rooms seem better configured for twin beds as all the power outlets are in the centre of the wall behind the bed. So it meant no nightstand by my side of the bed and no spot to plug in, or charge, anything on either side of the bed. There were outlets on the other side of the room which worked fine but not my preference. There was no safe in the room, which is also something we like having. We could hear music in the room from local restaurants/bars (which is common for hotels in this popular area) but they seemed to shut down around 10pm so it wasn’t a problem for sleeping."
