"THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!!!!
First off, it is not a hotel, it is an apartment /studio in NYC, and it is illegal to rent out apartments as air bnb. Secondly, no instructions were sent to me about “check in”, so I went to the address listed on the Expedia listing. There was no such address.
I was called by the operator who told me to read the instructions! Since i did not receive any by text or email he had to text me the REAL address of unit, with the instructions on how to get into the property.
As we were entering the building, a tenant stated that she was told that this unit is behind on rent and is not supposed to be operating air bnb but does anyway.
I get into the unit. I start to settle in. It is what I expected, pleasant and clean. The temperature in NYC that day was 93degrees and after a day of traveling I needed a shower.
THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!!!!! After several texts back and forth about “letting the water run” and we’ll get someone over there, I went to sleep without a shower.
The next day was a big event and I left with still NO HOT WATER!!! At around 11:30 am I received a text that the water was turned on! When I returned later that day, I did have hot water.
This was so aggravating! I ranked this unit low because hot water is a BASIC feature of a housing unit, not an extra. Plus the illegal and sloppy nature of this organization."
