โThe hotel is ideally situated - while not being in an immediately picturesque location, its proximity to the M6, A66 and Penrith North Lakes railway station make it the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District in one direction and Yorkshire in the other. The staff are excellent, particularly in the FYR restaurant: friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is equally impressive and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable and a pleasure to stay in. โ

โA lovely overnight stay at the Grange Country House. We received a lovely welcome from Michael, he was very informative and helped us to get settled in quickly. He gave us a tour and explanation of where everything was and about breakfast. The room was perfect, very clean and excellent condition. The breakfast was delicious the next morning and everyone that worked there was smiling and helpful. We will be staying again. โ
โItโs hard to comment properly as we arrived late in the dark but even still the staff on the desk were so friendly greeting us, and super helpful and understanding when I realised Iโd made a mistake with the booking. Itโs lovely and quiet despite being so close to the motorway. Immediately put at ease and reassured that itโs a great place to stay, even if as it is for us just an overnight stopover mid journey. โ
โBasic affordable accomodation. A bit tired but everything worked - great shower, TV, tea & coffee, hairdryer. There's a table tennis room for guests too, but we were too tired to give it a go sadly. A 15 minute walk from town centre.โ
โWasnโt aware until shortly before our visit that weโd booked during the Appleby Horse Fair so following a Police advisory, they werenโt selling alcohol. Which was a shame as I like to drink local brewery beer when away, but we were allowed to bring our own bottles. In all other respects, our stay was amazing!โ
