"It was the hottest day ever recorded in London, and the air conditioning didn’t work in my room. The Front Desk admitted that half the rooms on the first floor had no A/C due to renovations. They assigned me a room knowing the A/C didn’t work, and then refused to move me to another room when I raised the issue."

"Yes, someone is at the front desk when you enter that will check to see if you have a reservation, once confirmed, you are directed to a computer to check yourself in (passport #, name, country, etc.)! The elevator was broken (after the third day when still broken, I asked again and was told that it was "out of their hands")!? We were given on accommodation, when told that room cleanings were done between 3-6 pm (bizarre, since most are readying for dinner or the theatre at that point) they did adjust our cleaning time. We did appreciate that. The windows on the outside were filthy! The shower floods the bathroom at the slightest provocation. The last morning we requested coffee bags, milk and water which had not been provided. Housekeeping arrived with coffee only saying they were out of milk and water!? My partner went down to the desk and they had both. Really this is a wearing down 2 1/2 star hotel in a good location. Not inexpensive either I will say."

"This hotel was reasonably priced so my expectations were not high. This hotel has over 1000 rooms and is the hotel where a bus load or 2 drop off 100 people at one go. There is nothing wrong with that but it was full of children on school trips. It can get very noisy. I booked a 2 nights stay. The room given to us was a family room 1 double and 1 single. The room was tatty. The bathroom door would not shut as the door was too big! The beds were comfortable and the pillows were nice. The bed linen was good too. Unfortunately, a very disturbing mouldy smell was lurking in the corner by the double bed. It was bad. I decided to ask if it was possible for us to be moved to another room for our second night. It was that bad. The lady who helped us could not be nicer. In fact, all the staff at this hotel were so pleasant and nice. Anyway, we were moved to a double room to their slightly posher bit called City Sleeper. The room was a bit smaller but much smarter and very clean. She also gave us a free breakfast. The way she handled my complaint was very professional and on the nicest manner. Would I stay here again? Probably not. It is too big and hundreds of school children is annoying! Just a suggestion, in case the hotel does read this. Put somewhere to sit in the foyer. Not a chair in sight! ( But the porter did go fetch 2 chairs for us to sit while we waited, which was very nice) I just think there should be chairs already there."

"1. The shower drained poorly not because of a clog but due to poor design. 2. There were no phones to call the front desk, and our AT&T phones had no service, so you have to physically go to the lobby. 3. If you arrive early, they want to CHARGE you for luggage storage Per BAG! Wow.... 4. Beauty Rooms: Two of the four hairdryers were broken, and there were no hair straighteners as advertised. Never Again May 2026"
