“The check-in to guest services transition could have been better organized. The jacuzzi in my room didn't work properly. It was serviced, but still didn't work properly. Very nice room otherwise. I don't drink alcohol. There were several occasions where I was given Pina coladas with alcohol even though I voiced loud and clear that I don't want alcohol in my drinks. You could hear festivities in the hallways when you were sleeping. Best restaurants were Los Torres and the Japanese restaurant....

“If you’re looking to be around a lot of locals and experience Bahamian culture this may not be the place for you. This hotel is pretty great place is you’re looking for the resort experience . Especially if you’re not trying to pay crazy money to stay at a resort in the Bahamas. My only complaint is that a lot of activities close early (around 7pm) and buying food is kind of expensive. “My stay at RIU Montego Bay was a mix of positives and disappointments. My biggest issue was that the resort overpromised and underdelivered when it came to check-in. We were told our room would be ready at a certain time, but it wasn’t. I went to check on it once, and later my wife went back to ask again. That’s when we found out the room we had been waiting for wasn’t even going to be used that night for some reason. No one ever communicated this to us, which made the wait even more...

“The resort was beautiful and well maintained. That's where the compliments end. The only entertainment was sitting on the beach or lazy river all day , if you can find a spot. During the day the beach and lazy river are overrun by people off of the cruise ships. When the cruise ships leave at the end of the day the whole town closes up. “The hotel was nice. My room should have been better for the price. There was paint on the floor. Refrigerator was not pleasant looking and all the drinks inside was luke warm. The bathroom sinks the water went out very slow, so the settled there for awhile. Annoying. They did come up and finally clean the paint up after the second day. They left us one washcloth on the third day and none on the 4th night. We called and told the cleaning lady and we never got them.”

“Hotel was great. Our only complaint is with tropic tours which is who the hotel directs you to for transfer to and from the airport. They do not tell you that it is a shared shuttled that goes to multiple resorts and makes you wait for an hour for other passengers before it even leaves the airport. We flew 2 hours to get there then spent 4 hours sitting on a bus which cut in to our already short weekend getaway.
