"Pros: Spectacular resort for families. Would buy again just for that! Between the pools, day activities, playrooms and night shows, kids were NEVER bored. Also, all restaurants made specialty meals and catered specifically to our 3 year old who has multiple food allergies. A major plus!! The spa was AWESOME! Take the water journey/hydrotherapy and then let the masseuse massage away all your stress! Great APP. Set agenda and book meal reservations upon arrival/check-in. Cons: The beach, seaweed was a downer, and the smell with the August heat/humidity ... woooweee! I can't say for sure if we became nose blind on the second day, or if it was just that one afternoon when we arrived, but the smell was not an issue for the reminder of the trip. It's a big resort, golf carts are necessary to get around (though there is a lobby to lobby shuttle bus that is very convenient. At peak hours (e.g dinner), golf carts can be hard to come by Overall, great value. Food good, we celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday at Carvao."

"Overall I loved the experience (would definitely come here again). The only cons are the food and the liquor offered. Both of these issues can be resolved through upgrading to the Club option (which I will consider next go round)."

"Beautiful resort with a wonderful staff. Breakfast buffet is excellent. No dinner buffet which, for me, was a negative. The best restaurant, by far, was MB. Wound up eating there 3 of 5 nights. Varenna, the Italian restaurant, was a strong second, but was closed on Friday night, which was disappointing. Not included in the all-inclusive plan was Carnivore, a steak house. It was expensive and a huge disappointment. Stick to the all-inclusive restaurants. I chose this property primarily due to its 9.2 rating here. I would rate it a bit lower and place it in the “Very Good” category. Another minor negative was the pressure at check-in to upgrade and join their Club. I just found it confusing and stuck with my oceanfront room with a very private deck."

"This place exceeded my expectations. The facility is beautiful and so clean. The food is amazing. The best food I've ever had on any resort and better than alot of restaurants I've been to. The room was spectacular. The staff is amazing, polite and super professional. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious experience. Ill definitely be back."
