"Great option for a central Tokyo stop. Central for all things from Ginza, Kappabashi, Shibuya and Shinjuku. Great subway links to all places from Roppongi. Hotel staff are fantastic, car park is a brilliant if you need to use it. Room clean, comfortable and had everything you would need."
APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Ekimae Tower

"The room and the hotel was fine for staying. But the room had a dust issue with the AC where the more air you used the more dust blew out. For the fans settings. The amenities like a microwave, washing machines, and vending machines were inconveniently placed in the basement. The fact that the hotel has all floors above the forth be elevator only with only three elevators going above the 18th floor meant wait times were extremely long, and the other guests increasingly frustrated. The staff were amazing and most spoke English well and for the price it was an okay stay but I think they should place the amenities like the vending machines and such on the same floor as the the Lawson's. Or at least add something to each floor. I did like the bed, it was firm and despite the dust problem the AC was nice. The tv options were bad though. Their selection for watchable things had barely anything in English with zero English subtitles. The screen sharing feature for their TVs was also terrible quality streaming strength. However the wifi quality was nice and per room, so you weren't sharing with other guests which was nice. I didn't try the in place restaurant Bec it was ¥3900+ per adult which was far too expensive when I could just go to the station for cheaper food. I did like my stay however despite my gripes."

APA Hotel Keisei Ueno Ekimae Minami

"I just returned from my trip to Tokyo and I stayed at APA Hotel Keisei Ueno Ekimae Minami for 4 nights. Getting to the hotel in the evening from the Keisei Ueno station was quite straightforward. Check-in was quite smooth and I was provided with a room on a higher floor (as I requested). The room was quite tiny and compact, but I was impressed with the flow of the room and I was equally impressed with how purposeful the tiny bathroom was. I purchased breakfast with my stay, however, I had to miss breakfast on all days because I was quite sick with a cold and I did not want to inconvenience other travelers or visitors with my cold. This hotel, not to be confused with the other APA Hotel that's literally just steps away from the Keisei Ueno station, is also centrally located and is very close to the Ueno station that serves the Hibiya metro line, the Ginza metro line and the JR. As well, I was happy to be close to a plethora of food choices, shopping (including tax-free for tourists), Ueno Park, and convenience stores for quick grabs. Shout-out to the cleaning staff who did an amazing job of cleaning my room, most likely on a short turnaround. I really appreciated receiving new towels everyday in the APA bag that was hung outside my door - it felt like receiving gifts! Every floor of the hotel has water dispensers which was god-send for me because I was super dehydrated from being sick and needed water throughout the nights. Thank you APA Hotel Keisei Ueno Ekimae Minami!"
