"Property seems old; has seen better days; Pictures on website quite embellished; Good about it is that it's right by the beach; Staff nice and very helpful; rooms are rustic. not for me or my taste."

"The staff were some of the the most helpful and friendly people I have ever dealt with when traveling. This says a lot as I travel half the year. The food and drinks at the restaurants was wonderful. The one thing I will point out is that the hotel owners need to work on updating broken patio furniture and the hotel as a whole. For what they charge it really was sad to see the hotel looking worn out. Note: we had 4 villas (not really a villa more like room with deck) for 7 days and the air con did not work well in one of the villas. Power was out several times for long periods which meant no water either but we understand this can be typical in the area. The highlight besides the beauty of the area was the staff. "

"What can I say… this sweet spot really left an impression on us. The intimacy of the property was the first thing I noticed, with just 21 rooms perfectly tucked away it felt like your own little world. The rooms are stunning and extremely clean and well appointed. I am ordering the same Kassatex robe they had on property. Location is pretty perfect and found ourselves walking to cenotes and Michelin Star restaurants.The pool and lounge part of the beach are super chill and feel a little more local. This is a place not trying to hard, but still feels full of effort. On our last night we participated in the Temazcal and that was a treat and left us feeling connected. There is a club on the other side of the street. It plays loud music but we found ourselves being lulled to sleep by it. Even joking about what was the last song we remembered. I like to move around and rarely repeat coming back to the same place but I have a feeling I’ll be seeing Bungalow 6 again."

"I had an amazing stay at TAGO Tulum. The room was spacious, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing. I loved the his-and-her sinks and shower setup, plus the separate toilet room for extra privacy. The plunge pool was also very spacious, and the staff cleaned it quickly anytime I requested without a long wait. The food was fresh and good every time, and room service was surprisingly fast. The hotel itself is stunning and gives such a peaceful luxury vibe. I went during heavy seaweed season, but that honestly didn’t stop my trip at all. I can’t take away points for nature. The few bugs I saw didn’t bother me either — we are literally in the jungle, and this was their home before the hotel was built. I only saw maybe two during my entire stay. One thing I loved was the location. It’s walking distance to beach clubs and restaurants if you don’t mind a 5–15 minute walk. I stayed here solo while celebrating my graduation, so it was the perfect balance of peaceful alone time and fun. During the day I relaxed and enjoyed my room, and when I wanted to party I went to Taboo Tulum or took the ADO bus to Cancun for about $35 round trip. I would definitely recommend this hotel for solo travelers who want peace and relaxation or for couples looking for a beautiful getaway."

"The Ola suite was perfect! Just steps to the ocean and we even slept with the doors wide open to enjoy the ocean breeze and sound of waves all night. We felt very safe. The breakfast and lunches we had there were excellent! They brought us food and drinks to our cabana, the beach bed and the pool. They all went above and way beyond to take care of us. They even went to the pharmacy for us. Rooms were cleaned every day. It really was the perfect relaxing paradise we were looking for. The view was magical! "

"We stayed in a Teepee on the beach- used the public bathrooms. The public bathrooms were gross but all public bathrooms are- bring disposable toilet covers/witch hazel/wipes/hand sanitizer/etc. There is an option to stay in a teepee by the bathrooms. I could not recommend against that enough/ it smells horrible down there :) The teepee on the beach was so nice. It seemed like we were the only ones staying in those ones. There was this nice little area right outside of it with beach chairs and beds, shades, trees, a little outside shower, and then the beach was literally right there. Very nice. Staff was nice. Helpful and informative. The complementary breakfast was good."
