“Peaceful retreat with access to great natural beauty.”

“The place is great.”

“Very good”

“This facility is suitable for relaxing all the time with big outside bathtub and quiet room. We could stay in safe and really enjoy all of the time. Especially when we were in the 2nd floor in our room to take a outside bath, we were amazed by the beautiful sight of the stars. Although the temperature was so low, I guess it’s below zero, we were so excited to staring at the stars thanks to the hot spring. Needless to say the room is comfortable; warm, clean and enought space and amenities to...

“Welcoming, helpful. Good food, lovely room.”

“The overall vibe of the hotel is kind of lived in and quiet. It definitely needs a little update here and there while still being able to preserve the aesthetic of Japan culture and touches. There was only one other guest staying but for some reason it showed as completely booked out. Unfortunately, the showers and onsen has select opening times so you couldn't shower either in the morning or evening, it was one of those times and can't remember but that was slightly inconvenient. Like we...

“The staff were friendly and the breakfast was simple (green salad, two egg fries, bread with butter and jam, fruits, and a pot of coffee or black tea) but delicious. Personally I liked Peppermint’s breakfast better than buffet breakfast, because we ate everything that’s served. No waste, so eco-friendly. Another thing we liked was a nearby museum. The pension is only 5 minute walk from a nice local art museum. We visited it after check-out in the morning. We enjoyed the collection inside the...

“Great accommodation, clean and well maintained. Friendly helpful staff. Wonderful location. I recommend staying here. 👍”

“Owners are very nice ,the lady knows a bit of English. She made delicious breakfast. Bring your own towel, otherwise extra charge. Walking distance to Hkuba Goryu ski Resort about 5-10 min. My room included private bathroom and shower. ”

“clean room and great host/staff. Wish I had tried their breakfast”
