"The hosts makes this entire stay. Very welcoming and friendly. Shoes are placed out in front in the morning before you leave, and the host walks you through the entire place to show you around. I highly recommend this place for couples or small groups. Warning: beds are traditional and on the floor so pretty hard. Shared shower room could be hard if staying multiple nights. We stayed one night so did not effect us as much. Also, everything in the area is a walk! keep this in mind when looking for food or things to do."

"We loved our stay here, the bath on the balcony was so relaxing and peaceful and there are both public and private onsens that can be used when available. My husband and I used the private onsens and enjoyed the free ice cream and drinks also available at all times. The kaiseki breakfast and dinners were a great experience and a good opportunity to try traditional Japanese cuisine. The staff are very kind, welcoming and friendly and it’s about a 10 minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto station."

"We really enjoyed the size of the room and the comfortable bed and bedding. We also enjoyed the Japanese loungewear available for use. There was a cute gift shop. The breakfast buffet was nicely presented and had many options. Staff were pleasant. We stayed 2 nights."
