"So beautiful, what a gem! The rooftop at sunset is amazing! We had the best time just looking at all the birds in the nature. Just be aware there is no food or drink service so bring own stuff from the store."

"reception was there during check-in, very nice and helpful. everything was fast and convenience. the place itself is very safe and quite. if driving, there's a gate check-in - need to let them know it's an hotel stay for them to let pass. would stay here again next time in tulum. Parking available onsite which is nice"

"the ocean was visible from our room, however the beach was covered in sea weed wich i understand is normal but nothing was done to clean the beach.
we enjoyed our pool very much !!
the water in the pool became visible dirty after a few days , the same thing happened to the main pool and nothing was being done about it. i think housekeeping needs to step it up."

"Quiet, relaxing, clean. Getting a little dated, but still a beautiful boutique resort. Staff at Siwa were kind and friendly. Onsite restaurant was the best I’ve ever had at a stay in Mexico - very much an amazing culinary experience for my husband and I!"

"Roxy and Ramon are excellent hosts! My wife and I stayed for a week at their beautiful place for our honeymoon. They made it special for us, gave us ideas on local restaurants and also cooked up delicious breakfast! We didn’t want to leave, and the best part was the place itself. Our room was the Lapiz Lazuli suite with its own pool. It was spacious, clean and private. The location was perfect as you are a short distance from local eatery and boutique stores. Thank you again for a beautiful time...

"Check in was smooth, room and outdoor patio was clean, ample space for a studio size. Plunge pool was able to be lit at night by switch but was not able to have filter or pump engaged. On site bar/food poolside was decent. Overall nice place to stay if you are looking to do activities during the day and have a peaceful night's rest since daytime is consumed by ongoing construction not on site but the surrounding neighborhood as the area is being developed. "Hotel, staff, and food were amazing! The hotel has the most attentive staff, and the restaurants have a true culinary experience. The only downside was the sargassum, which they worked to clean up every day. Great experience!!"
"Our stay at Shibari Hotel Tulum was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, every single moment exceeded our expectations.
The entire staff was absolutely incredible—warm, attentive, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our vacation truly special. Their genuine hospitality made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay.
We want to thank each and every member of the Shibari team for creating such amazing memories that we will cherish forever.
We highly recommend Shibari Hotel Tulum to anyone looking for an exceptional getaway, especially couples seeking a romantic and unforgettable experience. Come and see it for yourselves—you won't be disappointed!
Thank you, Shibari, for an amazing vacation. We can't wait to come back!"
"What a beautiful property. Perfect location on the beach. I loved the boho vibe, being able to walk straight out from my room onto my porch and enjoy both jungle and beach. The staff were amazing, massages sublime, location - you need a bike (which I hired) or download InDrive for taxi service. Breakfast was simple and the food at lunch/dinner was varied and freshly cooked. Highly recommend."
"Our room was okay for my wife and 2 kids(10/13) but it had limited to zero privacy even in the OPEN bathroom area. We had to make our own privacy barrier with towels/comforter from the bed. The kids club wasn’t too bad and our 10yr old managed even though they didn’t offer any electronic options(video games), foosball, ping pong or air hockey games. Those were specifically for the Teens club but NO teens were seen around the resort and felt they could’ve opened up the Teen club to the older(10 and above) for the Kids club to use it since they’re just collecting dust. They did however have a great kids splash/pool area and playground. One key point to remember is that if you don’t make a dinner reservation EACH night then you will be left with the limited menu from their 24hr cafe or bar(set hours), maybe you could find something on the room service(24hr) menu but it won’t be anything other than the standard burger, pizza or similar. The pools were nice and quiet and the beach area was serene, kids could find some shells. Wished they had more activities for adults/families as they were very limited each day. Overall, a really good resort for the value."
Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club - Adults Only - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"The place was great in many ways, however we felt bated with the deceiving photos on Expedia showing a beach front resort. There were only 2 photos of the secretes we stayed at for our honeymoon. All other photos are of their sister resort Kumar and the beach club. When I booked this place we were expecting pools showing a beach backdrop. No beach in site. It was rather funny honestly thinking how many other people have done the same thing. Kicker is they bring you to the sister resort and show it off like look what you could have had. I’m like yeah, I know you fooled us. That did annoy us but we made the best of the it and enjoyed our stay. They need to correct those photos because it’s really misleading and unfair to people expecting an experience and it not happening. The amount of money these resorts make, this type of error is unacceptable. We will come again but please fix the photos, stop doing people dirty."
