“Huge room and breakfast was amazing, truely four star. Walking distance to the Barbican area. Our only issue was we were on the top floor and there was no lift. 50 steps from the back car park. I am sure they would put a lift in if the building was not heritage listed. If you have mobility problems make sure to ask for a room close to the ground. Overall very impressive and good value for money all fittings and fixtures were high quality.”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

It was much smaller, I didn’t have a table and chairs (as shown in photos) I booked a double room with sea view, the bathroom, windows, door and walls were very tired and the work that had been done was not very well finished.
