โI stayed here for 6days. The stay was perfect. I reserved the partial ocean view room and the view was stunning. We had great morning and night every day. The location was also great, it is located near downtown and many great restaurants. The room was spacious. Everything was great :) I highly recommend and I will go next time :)โ
โFirst of all, they had the AC on BEFORE we got there, it felt so good when we opened the door! Second, we really liked the option that we could cook some meals inside the unit with everything they provided. Get fridge, microwave, coffee maker, blender (!), portable double burner, pots & frying pans, cooking & eating utensils, bowls, plate, mugs, glasses....
We had to message to ask a question, and got a call back right away and problem was solved, we really appreciate that.

โThe front desk staff were friendly, and I appreciated that the hotel was eco-friendly.
Glass bottles were provided in the room so you have to get water from the lobby, and the shower amenities were environmentally conscious, minimizing plastic use.
However, there was one major issue. Since the hotel is within 10 minutes of the airport, the loud noise from planes taking off made it difficult to sleep. I recommend flying in and out of Kona Airport instead of Hilo Airport.โ
โIt is a great local hotel. You can experience the vibe of Hilo. Close to the downtown Hilo. Great access to restaurants and grocery stores. Staffs are very kind. Love cat-friendly environment! โ
โMillion dollar view. Rooms are quaint. No A/C or TV but constant breeze kept us cool and who go's Hawaii to watch TV anyway ? Small but nice pool. Laid back atmosphere . We loved it. Breakfast on our deck with the waves crashing in was the perfect start to our day. โ
โWe loved our stay at Kehena house! We were greeted by Stephen when we arrived and given a quick tour. They were hosting a Pride potluck that day and he kindly invited us to come eat and join in as guests of the house. Everyone we met was friendly and we felt safe to be ourselves. In the room, there was a list of unique weekly activities and opportunities near by, which made the experience feel even more welcoming.
