“Kilconquhar Castle Estate was a perfect place to rest and recharge. Our cottage was great except for the mattress on the master bed. It was quite hard. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. Needless to say the food at the Estate was great. There was also great food at the Kilconquhar Inn. It was the perfect distance from St. Andrews and Edinburgh. We will definitely stay again.”

“We stayed one of the ensuite rooms with vaulted ceilings and a dormer window- you just need to remember to duck ocasionaly. It's on the second floor so you need to allow for this, not a problem for most people. We were surprised how much space there was and the view over the park was lovely. The location in Leith is much closer to the city centre than it may appear as the regular (2-10 mins wait) new tram line whooshes you to the centre in 5-15 minutes. “Wifi signal was very poor in our room so essentially unusable. The heating was full on even though it was unnecessary and there was no way to control it so we had to open a window: one was painted shut and the other one wouldn’t stay open. The restaurant was mediocre. ”

“Check in took a while as reception was dealing with awkward customer on the phone. Room spacious and clean with ample power and usb points. Good shower. Reasonable menu although it seemed more limited than last year so when staying 4 nights this may be an issue. That being said plenty of other dining options within walking distance. Ample parking.”
