“Mark was very accommodating and my room was really big and comfortable

I only stayed 1 night but I know the area very well and the guest house is a short walk from most places in town but quiet and peaceful guest house location
Penrith is a beautiful picture postcard town and very handy base for traveling to the Lake District
I will certainly be booking again

“Free parking, lovely place, however the room advertised that I booked was not the room we were given, but still a very nice room non the less. 10 minute walk away not the centre for food and drinks, great seating facilities inside and outside of the property with a great view. Overall still very happy with my booking. ”

“We got to this property by chance. What a fun surprise. It is an old but very well kept inn. It has many beautiful hikes around. It is in the middle of nowhere. And that makes it even more fantastic. ”
“Excellent stay. Surprised it was only 2 and a half star. Room was excellent and clean. All staff were so nice but a special shout out to Lauren (I hope I spelt that right) who was on her feet working and tidying from late at night and up working first thing in the morning. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and was a very nice lady to talk to always making sure we were settled and happy, and we only stayed for one night sadly. We will definitely come back soon. ”

“Lovely hotel with stunning views. The big plus is the food - breakfast was excellent and dinner both nights was really enjoyable. It’s in a great location to explore the northern part of the Lakes. Some parts of the hotel could do with a bit of TLC. Staff are really good, would definitely recommend.”
