The Drey - Kensington, Earl's Court

The Drey - Kensington, Earl's Court

8/10 Good
"The good: The staff was super nice. The location is great and convenient to Earl’s Court Station, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. And importantly in August, the rooms have air conditioning. The bad: The rooms are small! This was our 4th trip to London, and this was the smallest room we’ve encountered. It’s manageable, but very tight. Also, don’t assume your room will have a television as not all of them do. After a couple days, we were able to transfer to a room with a television. And strangely enough, there are basically no flat surfaces to place anything. (strange, but obvious when you need to put stuff down somewhere!) There is air conditioning in the rooms which was a big plus, but be prepared for the A/C to turn off at random times. In summary: If you ONLY need a clean place to sleep that’s convenient to the Tube, this may be for you. If you want somewhere to spread out and relax after exploring London and not feel cramped, you may want to look elsewhere."

"Checking in, or even reserving in the first place, can be remarkably difficult if you don’t have a smartphone. My check-in agent was wonderfully helpful, and eventually figured out a way to provide me with the necessary “key” in spite of my iPad-based reservation. Still, prepare yourself for a bit of a struggle…"

10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was perfect for a family staying in London. We were warmly accommodated by the staff on our very first day and taken care off. The facilities and amenities were great which included breakfast, a gym and more. The space was maintained well and clean. The staff were very very helpful and kind and I can’t thank them enough for that. The kids had a great time. As for location, it was in a great area. It was located right by the station which could take you anywhere. Plenty of restraunts and shops nearby. I would highly recommend this hotel especially for families."
