When the only complaint you can have about a place is that they are almost TOO attentive, then you are really staying at a true 5 star place. Everything here is first class and it is truly a very different experience from the typical Playa all inclusive places.
First off, the grounds are beautiful. We stayed in a lagoon suite and to sit out on the deck and hear a myriad of birds singing and watch fish, turtles, (and crocs!) swim by was really a great experience. Almost feels like being...

We stayed at Secrets Maroma for 7 nights and to say we had a great time is an understatement! We did stay in the Perferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View, building 16, and the view of resort and ocean was great! From the moment we arrived and until we departed, the service is outstanding throughout the resort-from the wait staff, bar tenders, front desk, and especially our conceirge-Emmanuel! Technically this wasn't a vacation, it was our honeymoon. I found this place on some Google list of top 10 most romantic honeymoon spots and it did not dissapoint. The grounds are beautiful. The staffs mission in life is to make sure you are happy and have everything you need. And it's not just for tips either, it's genuine. Whether you want to do nothing or everything, you will be pleased. We just got back and are already planning a return trip. The rooms are VERY private, no noise from other...

Stayed at the Zen resort. Great welcoming environment. Relaxing. pampered. Spa too expensive for what they offer, though. Excellent restaurants, although food somewhat scant in some of them (Piaff and, De Autor). Quality of drinks intermediate. Beaches resorts with excellent infinity pool and wet bar. Azul and Lucca best places to eat. Watch out at Piaf restaurant with sommelier trying to have you choose from an expensive list of wines not included in the "all inclusive". "All...

This property is fantastic if your desire is to go to a laid back property and have a relaxing but fun time. It is not packed with party hungry 18 year olds. We noticed the guests were mostly couples and friend trips made up of ladies or couples. While they say tips are not expected, they really are. For the price of flights and the say along with the amazing food options on property, throw your server or housekeeping staff a few USD. Be careful when it comes to converting dollars to pesos - pay...

We were looking for a small non-resort hotel on the beach where we could relax peacefully, and Petit Lafitte is exactly that. As soon as we arrived at Lafitte we were welcomed home by the desk staff and concierge. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and made us feel comfortable, and were more than willing to help make our stay a very pleasant one. Spent a couple of nights at this hotel. It was very nice, super clean and new, great amenities, loved the decor, had a nice ocean view on the fifth floor. Location was great, walking distance to fifth avenue and restaurants and shops. Ate breakfast at the hotel, their chilaquiles were excellent!
I would not hesitate to stay here again for a convenient short stay and would definitely recommend to others. The front desk staff and restaurant staff were all great!

Hotel Lunata is a gem situated on Playa del Carmen's charming 5th Avenue, and one block from Playa's main beach. Even though our room overlooked 5th Avenue, the triple-insulated balcony doors assured peace and quiet. The hotel is reminiscent of a hacienda, and has a lovely private - and very quiet - garden. The complimentary continental breakfast was tasty, with fresh fruit and Mexican pastries along with cereals, coffee, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Perhaps the best attribute of the...

Unassuming from the outside, what awaits inside is more of the same, but with a minimal, spa-like feel. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms and common areas are clean and inviting. The location can feel a bit suspect at night , though not threatening, but this gives way to a pleasant and almost park-esque mood during the day. A great value I doubt can be beat in PDC.

The TRS Yucatan was part of a larger group of related hotels on a very large beautiful beach and jungle property. The butlers at our villa, especially Emilio, were very welcoming and helpful as we oriented ourselves to the many facets of the resort. The transportation cart service was quick and the drivers very friendly.....though by following the seaside/beach everything was also very walkable. Food was excellent....green juice at Helios was my favorite!

This place is Heaven on Earth! Our original trip was supposed to be for 5 days and we had to extend 4 more day (awww poor us LOL) due to bad weather at DFW (worst ice/snow storm to hit DFW in 72 years). We had room 818 beautiful! We had a private pool and our own Butler David just moments from the beach bar and beach. When we had to extend we got room 909 right on the beach! No pool but did I mention right on the beach! Our service was spectacular, everybody was so friendly and helpful and...

This is by far the best resort in Riviera Maya! This was our second time there and we will be back. The property is stunning. Natural mangroves run all throughout. The walking on the grounds is beautiful. You have access to all four properties no matter which one you stay at. We love Kantenah, but Colonial and White Sands are equally great. The room was more than we ever expected! THE FOOD! OMG it’s amazing. Highly recommend El Gaucho in the TRS side. It’s the best food I’ve ever eaten.
