"This was our first time staying in Playa and we did enjoy it thoroughly. You can see all kinds of animals walking around the resort, it’s like it was placed directly in the jungle. The kids loved it. It’s a beautiful property, huge, and doesn’t feel at all crowded. Breakfast and lunch is good at the lobby buffet, which plenty of options. We didn’t care for the food at dinner at the buffet, so we went to the restaurants for dinner which were great and the staff at the restaurant were very nice. The snack shack food was not good, and it’s really the only place to get food near the pool if you don’t go to the buffet, I wish there was more options for snacks and foods (fruits, smoothies, ceviche, etc) around. We’ve been spoiled at other resorts but it makes it much easier to have food around the pools. That’s really the only thing we disliked was food options during the day. With how big of a property it is, you would think there would be more options spread around. Maybe more than one shuttle running during the evenings would be helpful. The waterpark is fantastic, our little girl loved it and it’s all very inclusive for a variety of ages. The beach is beautiful, lots of chairs and Talapas and easy access for kids."

"Rooms were basic, my sheets had the worst smell like someone had been playing outside all day and got in the bed (I had to have housekeep come change them and I had just arrived)! It lacked entertainment and excitement during pool time and after hours! Staff was great and tried to be accommodating. Breakfast buffet was terrible limited options the 2nd worst I've encountered thus far!! They say its a party hotel definitely not!! Great location for walking shops and restaurants"
