"Enjoyed the superior loft unit very much. The property amenities were awesome as well as the location. We had a few glitches though. The futon in our room was broken and we had to prop it up with a backpack. Ran out of bathroom tissue and was told there would be none available until the next day at 9am. Obviously we got our own;) Ultimately the front desk staff is pleasant but basically powerless to help with much. More of a condo with a reception. All in all it was everything we needed."

"I’ll start off by saying this resort has some of the best food I’ve ever had at any resort in multiple different countries. It’s that good. Every restaurant was amazing and making reservations was easy, the servers were attentive at all of them. Our rooms were gorgeous, each including a hot tub and a hammock on the balcony. Feel asleep there and it was everything. No smoking on the property except at the front or on the beach. The beach itself is a problem due to the sargassum. Very rocky where the resort is and not safe to swim in with the mess. However maybe in another season, and if they ever expand the beach, it would be a plus. Another thing is there isn’t much nightlife except on fifth avenue (which was a wonderful time) but requires you to spend money. Beware on fifth avenue as they charge fraudulent prices. Overall would come again as the pool, the drinks, the staff, the shows, and the pool parties were wonderful. Room was cleaned daily and 24 hour room service was appreciated. See you again Hyatt Vivid!"

"This is my second time staying at this hotel. My sister and I stayed last year 2025 and thought it was a great reasonable option in a PERFECT location. We enjoyed the breakfast which kept us pretty full for half the day and the market that pops up on the weekends across the street. The beach is only a 8-10 minute walk away and walmart, Soriano and several other supermarkets and stores are nearby. For me, this time felt a bit different. The WIFI wasn't the best and it's not an ideal location to work remotely from. If you're coming for vacation and to relax then this is not a big deal. I had to work for the first week of my trip (so a little different for me) and had to cancel class twice because the wifi just shut down. I did call the desk and they reset the modem and it came back on, but it just isn't the best. Like all hotels, some rooms are better than others. The first room that I was placed in during the first part of my 2026 stay had a leaking ac unit that caused a mini-flood in room. The second room was a bit better but the bathroom was so, so tiny that you literally can not fully open the door, because it touches sink. If I didn't have to use internet for work and could guarantee a good room I'd consider staying here again, but otherwise, it doesn't feel worth it to me anymore."

"My stay at Playa Palms Beach Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and let me check in early. Alfredo checked me in and was extremely kind, giving me recommendations for food and helping me get acquainted with the area. The room and patio was comfortable and clean, housekeeping left adorable towel animals. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, cutlery, coffee mugs, etc. I enjoyed the pool, and the areas for washing sand off were extremely useful as the beaches in Playa I visited didn't have them. I found the overall atmosphere very calming, as the hotel was mostly quiet, with my only complaint being the construction noises during the day sometimes."

"La ubicación y el precio es excelente. A solo pasos de la 5ta avenida, alrededor de la cuadra hay diversos lugares de comer, así como tiendas para suplir de cualquier artículo que se te haya quedado, alimentos agua embotellada, etc. En el mismo hotel puedes desayunar (la chica que prepara la comida es excelente) por un costo adicional, pero económico. La piscina esta abierta hasta por la noche, así que se puede usar al llegar de los tours. El servicio del personal excelente, pedí cambio de cubrecamas, cobertor para el frio en la noche, secador de cabello, toallas de piscina y todo me lo facilitaron rapidísimo. No es un lugar de lujos, pero tiene lo necesario para pasar la noche y algunas tardes que estuvimos, ya que todos los días teniamos tours fuera del hotel para conocer la zona. El sitio se siente seguro aún de noche. En par de ocasiones llegabamos tardes de los tours y caminamos sin problemas hasta el hotel."
