Like most places in Vietnam, maintenance is a bit of an issue. However, breakfast was great and staff were truly helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Hotel was very close to shops, restaurants, Train Street and the lake.

Hotel breakfast bar was the best I have had in Vietnam. Spectacular shower in the deluxe suite. Staff was very helpful. Hotel room’s power shuts off when you leave the room. So electronic devices cannot be charged. And the AC shuts off resulting in a damp and humid room with really wet floors. Enough to slip on.

The hotel was extremely warm and toilet had a slide door which cannot be locked. Room was v basic

Room was not clean and it seems they don't clean your room daily unless requested. Female staff were not very helpful, particularly at check in (perceived as a lazy attitude). Bags not delivered to the room after 5 hours, so we collected it ourselves. By contrast, the male staff were active and helpful. Rooms need maintenance with gaps in the ceiling, floors, walls. Rooms are very small and feel claustrophobic. Restaurant is at another hotel 100m away. Reception toilets were dirty. I think I paid too much for what we got. Barely a 3 star hotel and I'd give it a guest rating of 5. Location is convenient. Would not revisit this hotel.

Great and warm staff made my stay very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent!

I stayed at Hotel 99 during the holidays and booked a private room at the standard rate. It seemed decent enough, and since I had my motorbike, I didn’t mind the location too much. The room was surprisingly spacious with three beds – could easily sleep three people – and had a private bathroom. The hot shower worked well, clean bedsheets, comfy pillows, towels provided, and even a little fridge That said, the place wasn’t particularly clean. The room felt a bit grubby, the mattresses were quite firm, and the duvets clearly hadn’t been washed in a while. The location is also a bit out of the way – about a 25-minute walk to the city centre – so not the most convenient spot if you’re on foot. All in all, fine if you’re just after a cheap place to rest your head for the night, but don’t expect anything too cosy or spotless.

Unhelpful staff, I don't recommend ever staying at this hotel.

The property itself is very clean! I stayed a few nights and would highly recommend
