"Pros: very friendly and courteous staff. Great outdoor and pool area . Excellent beach access. Good location from airport. Cons: main hallway from elevator to rooms need cleaning. The bedroom was fine with no issues but the bathrooms need renovatiob. Toilet seats were flaking and areas in shower and bathtub. Was a bit disappointed with the standard."

"The riu ventura was great, super clean, friendly staff and stiff drinks if you wanted them. The only complaint I have was the food. I was always able to find something to eat at the buffet but the food was not the highlight of the trip. This next part has nothing to do with Riu but I booked my vacation with expedia and that was a nightmare. First of all my flight got canceled and no one notified me. I only learned of it when I went to check into my flight roughly 18 hours before I was set to leave. So I had to purchase last minute tickets that cost $2000.00 practically doubling the cost of my trip. So with my original flight, I was supposed to be in cancun by 9 a.m but because I had to buy different tickets, I didn't land until 10 p.m loosing a full day of vacation. I also had rented my car through expedia and because I was not there at 9 a.m and arrived at 10 p.m I lost my car rental. I was not refunded any money and had to pay for another car rental. But I guess im somewhat responsible for that beings I didn't call and let them know I was going to be late but I figured as long as I arrived the same day that I was supposed to, everything would be fine... I was wrong. So in short, screw expedia."

"Small resort, the food wasn’t good "

"Let me start off by saying what a great stay at Hotel Cyan Resort&Spa. My wife and I spent 5 days at this great place, from the start we did not have any issues or set backs. Airport to hotel is a 26 min drive with peek traffic but on slow times the actually ride time is 16 minutes not far from airport. Upon arrival the employees greet you with a smile and help with luggage, receptionist very professional and explain everything to ensure clear communication with us as guest. The room was clean, some reviews people have complained about the sewer smell but it’s not as bad as people make it seem, please take in consideration that Hotel Cyan is one of the first hotels here in Zona Hotelera Cancún ( I did my research my reviews are truthful and honest) the curb appeal is not as good as the new and modern hotels and resorts in Cancun. To some guests the prices are expensive for a stay at this hotel but to some that understand and know that get what you pay for, don’t expect to be catered as the all inclusive resorts which Hotel Cyan is not all inclusive. Now to praise the great staff Hotel Cyan has, I can say the service provided by Fernando which was at the courtyard bar, Yaima also was super and very friendly, Ismely and Mr. William were attentive at the restaurant. We paid for the breakfast and as a few complained about the portions, the restaurant does have other meal options for a certain price. Also Jose the pool guy was very professional and kept pool clean every morning."
