Grand Riviera Princess - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"Friendly staff, clean room, and great entertainment every night. We visited July with our family (2 adults, 2 small children) and we had a great time. Huge property, plenty of things to do. Food was decent, photographers were great, and hotel is clean. Overall, property was well maintained. Our room did have mosquitoes in it but luckily we brought bug spray so wasn’t an issue. I would recommend making reservations for the restaurants as soon as possible, they booked up pretty fast. The kids club was disappointing, it wa don’t outdoors so my kids didn’t want to go because it was too hot, would have loved if they had an indoor kids club. Kids water park was perfect size and they had fun. At the Sports Bar we would have preferred the arcade to be included in the all inclusive, instead of having to pay for a game card. Loved the Aladdin play they did, very entertaining. Also it was a quick drive to 5th Ave, so was easy to shop. Beach was disappointing because of the Sargassum, but was expected because we went mid July. We ended up going to the membership presentation, it was fine, but the “Free Cenote” incentive was not good, took us to their jewelry store, their tequila store, and then only got to go to 1 outdoor Cenote, not even in a cave! Everything else was an extra cost so really did not receive much for the 90min presentation. But overall, I would recommend this hotel for a family trip, we enjoyed our time. Also their are super cute animals out and about on the property."

"Travelling with 22 family members. Amazing staff, special thanks to Edvardo who arranged our Italian dinner. Gustavo and Fernando who arranged our Mexican Margarita and the Steak House. I know its difficult to book all of us in one place but they did it! We booked Sakura ourselves (need to book early). All evening restaurants served small portions. Sometimes we ended at the buffet afterwards. Ocean Burger has amazing burgers. The restaurant on the beach was great too. Great Ice Cream Parlor. I think we had ice cream nightly as it was so hot. Food at the buffet was fabulous, loads of options (our fav). Mike's coffee shop was a hit. Great drinks, snacks. The resort is beautiful and clean and big. It was nice to hop on travel train from one side of the resort to the other. Rooms are spacious with patio and fridge is loaded with beer, pop and water everyday. Washrooms have 2 sinks. Good showers. Good AC. Pools were awesome, especially the swim up bars. Wish the pool hours were longer. The drinks were watered down even if you asked for double. The ocean out of bounds due to the seaweed issue. Many workers cleaning it up daily. Good nightly entertainment. Lobby nice and cooling area (AC), quick check in/out Half of our group stayed near the Buffet and others at Building 4 near Ocean. Only one of our families got a free upgrade. We were offered but for extra $600 USD. It would have been nice to have a few free more upgrades. Amazing resort and staff. Will visit again. Thanks"
