"It’s a beautiful place, the food is delicious, and it’s very easy to make a dinner reservation. The only uncomfortable part is the person who greets you upon arrival, as they try to sell you a membership and convince you to attend a tour of their new location. We agreed to go, but honestly, right after getting off a flight, that’s the last thing you want to hear—so accepting was a mistake. The next morning, I didn’t attend the membership tour. Two hours later, the representative came looking for us, visibly upset that we hadn’t gone, and made her frustration clear. When that’s part of your job, you should be used to it—we’re not the first, and we won’t be the last. But aside from that detail, everything was perfect."

"I found the physical structure and amenities very poorly maintained. To say “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig” pretty much sums up the appearance! The location was good, with two local restaurants off site within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was decent. The pool and beach where good..The room cleanliness was excellent. To Sum it up, this was a low cost accommodation, clean and hospitable, with desperate need of remodeling. The hotel was built in 1946 ( The Bel Air Hotel)"

"We strongly recommend that people avoid this resort. We’ve stayed at eight different resorts before, and this is by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. The food was terrible—we felt sick every day and suspect food poisoning. Much of the food seemed improperly handled: items were kept lukewarm, deep-fried foods were overcooked in what looked like reused, dark oil, and the menu was very repetitive. Every restaurant offered the same salads and desserts, with artificial-tasting cream. Most dishes were dry and overcooked, and there were no quality seafood options like shrimp, crab, or fresh fish at the buffets. The drinks were also disappointing—very diluted, with barely any alcohol. The beach area was poorly maintained. Out of a large property, there were only about 15 chairs available, and most were broken. There was no staff service on the beach, so we had to walk back frequently to get drinks. Empty bottles and trash were left around until we asked staff to clean them up. The bathrooms were in very poor condition—dirty, with broken locks, no toilet seat lids, and no soap available. Our room also had maintenance issues, including a leak from the ceiling. We reported it, but the overall experience was extremely disappointing."

"Our room was really nice. We stayed on the adult only side the Reserve. The only not so great restaurant was Capella the Italian restaurant. Food was mediocre. The lasagna was terrible small and dry from being under the heat lamp forever. Spa pool has seen better days. Also all the spas have no working functions and are not heated. The pool must have a leak since it is not full. It is not even up to the skimmer. Needs work. We still enjoyed our stay but i don't think i would be back"

"Room Cleanliness 8/10 Lobby Cleanliness 9/10 (Probably the most upkept part of the hotel) Pool Loungers 4/10. Pool 7/10 - the pools were big, but the tile felt slimey. Got the ickies towards the end. Beach view was really nice. Drinks were 9/10. Buffet 5/10 - Food tasted a day old and bread was stale. The fruit was fresh but everything else was mid. The tables and chairs were super dirty and stained, i mean at least get new covers. The restaurants in the hotel were super mid and furniture looked dated. Spa was a 2/10. Smelled soooo gross in the womens lockers, like urine & mold - the smell of musty towels and sewage. Usually when you walk into a spa it smells like Eucalyptus or Lavender in the lobby. Not the case here. They take you through a water journey which is Sauna- if you do a couples massage be aware if someone has the same slot as you they will join you. Massage was whatever - paif extra $80 for hot stones and was underwhlemed. The table where they give you a massage wasnt covered and i just didnt trust the cleanliness at all. The water in the hot tub and tile was also slimey. I asked for my money back of course they said no. Disappointed for sure. But overall we made the best of it. Not the worst, but definitely not 4-5 or 5 star hotel. Definitelu Mid and in DESPERATE need of updates."
