“A great place to just hang out and enjoy your time in Playa. Staff were amazing and helpful at every turn. Restaurants were top notch, especially the Mexican restaurant. Summer seaweed was a constant stinky headache, but that's not the resorts fault, they cleaned it up every morning.”

“We stayed for 9 nights and there was not a day without some kind of mistake or misunderstanding. The staff is very very polite and friendly, but they lack professionalism and training. Some servers in the restaurants don’t speak very good English, so that can be an area of improvement. The overall impression is that the whole operation is out of tune. Strong management and review of all aspects of operations is recommended. Alila is not on par with the rest of the Mayakoba hotels.”

“Cozy house with traditional style, mixed with nature! One thing is that the beach/ocean is not as good as Cancun. To be more exact, way far behind. But one of the right places to extend to Tulum and Coba ruins as well as nearby amazing cenotes. ”

“The hotel is beautiful and the pools were very clean and well maintained. The grounds were very well kept and they attempted to clean up the sargassum best they could given the circumstances. However, the food was far below expectation. We frequently struggled to find something to eat and items on the buffet were cold despite being there the second that it opened. Room service was sparse with only a few items to choose from- but they have an excellent app for ordering and seeing what was going...
